The DRC is one of the largest countries in Africa, the southern part of which can be supplied with fuel only through the port of Beira (Mozambique) and then through Zambia to Lumbambashi (DRC). The main transportation, at the moment, is carried out by road, between the nearest unloading and loading warehouses. Construction of the pipeline will reduce delivery costs, minimize the risk of loss of bulk cargo and at a later stage the pipeline can be used to connect with the States of Malawi and Botswana.
